Biography:
Prof. Jizhong Zhu (IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow) received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Chongqing University in 1985, 1987, and Feb. 1990, respectively. Dr. Zhu was a professor in Chongqing University. He won seven provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress, and was selected as one of four outstanding young scientists working in China by The Royal Society of UK and China Science & Technology Association and awarded Royal Society Fellowship in 1994, as well as the national research prize "Fok Ying-Tung Excellent Young Teacher Medal" in 1996. He worked in a variety of places all over the world, including Chongqing University in China, Brunel University in UK, National University of Singapore, Howard University in USA, and ALSTOM Grid Inc., China Southern Power Grid and South China University of Technology (SCUT).
He is currently a Professor and director of ISESOOC center in SCUT and National Distinguished Expert in China. He is Chair of IEEE P2781 and P2783 Standard working groups since 2018, Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Technical Committee (China), member of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on intelligent power and energy systems, and member of IEEE SMC Standard Committee, as well as was Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads Subcommittee during 2017-2019. He worked at ALSTOM Grid as a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer and Senior Expert during 2000-2015, and became a Fellow of Alstom Expert Committee in 2013.
His research interest is integrated smart energy system optimal operation and control (ISESOOC), as well as power system analysis, smart grid and renewable energy applications. He has published six books as a sole author, and published over 300 papers in the international journals and conferences.
Prof. Witod Pedrycz

Biography:
Witold Pedrycz (Life Fellow, IEEE) received the M.Sc., Ph.D., and D.Sci. degrees from the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. He is currently a Professor and a Canada Research Chair (CRC) in computational intelligence with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. He is also with the Polish Academy of Sciences, Systems Research Institute, Warsaw, Poland. He has published numerous articles in these areas. He is also the author of 15 research monographs. His research interests include computational intelligence, fuzzy modeling, knowledge discovery, data mining, and fuzzy control, including fuzzy controllers, pattern recognition, knowledge-based neural networks, granular and relational computing, and software engineering. He has been a member of numerous program committees of IEEE conferences in the area of fuzzy sets and neurocomputing. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences (Elsevier), WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and the International Journal of Granular Computing (Springer). He served as the Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics—Part A and the President of IFSA. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems.

Biography:
Dr. D. P. Kothari obtained his BE (Electrical) in 1967, ME(Power Systems) in 1969 and Ph.D. in 1975 from BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan. From 1969 to 1977, he was involved in teaching and development of several courses at BITS Pilani. Earlier Dr. Kothari served as Vice Chancellor, VIT, Vellore, Director in-charge and Deputy Director (Administration) as well as Head in the Centre of Energy Studies at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and as Principal, VRCE, Nagpur. He was visiting professor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, during 1982-83 and 1989, for two years. He was also NSF Fellow at Perdue University, USA in 1992. He also taught at Melbourne University Australia for one semester in 1989. Dr. Kothari, who is a recipient of the most Active Researcher Award, has published and presented 840 research papers in various national as well as international journals, conferences, guided 57 Ph.D scholars and 68 M. Tech students, and authored 74 books in various allied areas. He has delivered several keynote addresses, 100 plus Webinars and invited lectures at both national and international conferences. He has also delivered 42 video lectures on YouTube with maximum of 1,00,000 hits! He is also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award (2009) conferred by the World Management Congress, New Delhi, for his contribution to the areas of educational planning and administration. Recently he received Excellent Academic Award at IIT Guwahati by NPSC-2014.
Dr. Kothari is a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering (FNAE), Fellow of Indian National Academy of Science (FNASc), Fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE), Fellow IEEE, Hon. Fellow ISTE and Fellow IETE.
Currently Dr. Kothari is with S.B Jain Institute of Management , Research and Technology, Nagpur serving as Director Research and Professor, .He is also chairman board of governors of THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Technology ,Tehri and Visiting Professor at Wainganga college of engineering Nagpur.
Prof.Fushuan Wen

Biography:
Professor Fushuan Wen received the BE and ME degrees from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the PhD degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1991, all in electrical engineering. He joined the faculty of Zhejiang University in 1991, and has been a full professor and the director of the Institute of Power Economics and Information since 1997, and the director of Zhejiang University-Insigma Joint Research Center for Smart Grids since 2010.

He has published 200+ SCI-indexed papers, 670+ EI-indexed papers, and 760+ Scopus-indexed papers. His publications have been cited for 16500+ times. He has completed and is undertaking more than 180 grants and projects from governmental organizations and industry.
Prof. Wen received many awards both at the national level and provincial level, including the most prestigious National Natural Science Award of China. He has been listed in "Most Cited Chinese Researchers" in seven consecutive years since 2015 by Elsevier, and is the author of one of the China's 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in 2016.
Prof Wen is the editor-in-chief of Energy Conversion and Economics (SPERI, IET, Wiley), the deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Automation of Electric Power Systems, a subject editor in power system economics of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, associate editor of Journal of Energy Engineering and Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy. He is also on the editorial boards of more than 10 journals.
Prof Wen was the General Chairman of 2020 International Conference on Smart Grids and Energy Systems (SGES 2020), Nov. 23-26, 2020, Perth, Australia.
Prof Wen was elected to IEEE Fellow for contributions to fault diagnosis in power grids.

Biography:
A/Professor Farhad Shahnia received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, in 2012. He is currently an A/Professor at Murdoch University. Before that, he was a Lecturer at Curtin University (2012-15), a research scholar at QUT (2008-11), and an R&D engineer at the Eastern Azarbayjan Electric Power Distribution Company, Iran (2005-08).
Farhad’s research falls under Distribution networks, Microgrid and Smart grid concepts. He has authored one book and 11 book chapters and 100+ peer-reviewed scholarly articles in international conferences and journals, as well as being an editor of 6 books.
Farhad has won 5 Best Paper Awards in various conferences and has also received the IET Premium Award for the Best Paper published in the IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution journal in 2015. One of his articles was listed under the top-25 most cited articles in the Electric Power System Research Journal in 2015 while one of his 2015 journal articles has been listed under the top-5 most read articles of the Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He was the recipient of the Postgraduate Research Supervisor Award from Curtin University in 2015 and the Australia-China Young Scientist Exchange Award from the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering in 2016.
Farhad is currently a Subject Editor, Deputy Subject Editor, and Associate Editor of several journals including IEEE Access, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, IET Renewable Power Generation, IET Smart Grid, IET Energy Conversion and Economics, and International Transaction on Electrical Energy Systems and has served 35+ conferences in various roles such as General, Technical, Program, Publication, Publicity, Award, Sponsorship, and Special Session Chairs.
Farhad has led the IEEE Western Australia Section as the 2020-2021 Chair, and was the 2019 Founding Chair of the IEEE Western Australia Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Chapter. He is currently the 2021-2022 Secretary of the IES’s Technical Committees on Smart Grids.
